Sun is currently advertising a joint Sun/Google news conference that will be held today. Jonathan Swartz hinted that something big is coming in his blog entry on Saturday with the comment “If I were a betting man, I’d bet the world was about to change” and now the rumours are out.

I stumbled upon this brilliant bit of marketing on the Sun website. It’s definately aimed more at the techies than anyone else, but it’s quite amusing anyway. Pity it’s not more widely advertised or updated that frequently.

IT’S FINALLY HERE… Sun Microsystems has now officially released OpenSolaris to the world. Go checkout the OpenSolaris website or the http://www.sun.com/opensolaris for more details.
