Photos Glitch
If you happened to visit my site this morning, you may have noticed my gallery wasn’t working. Well, it is now. It would seem FAlbum’s API key expired without warning. I’m not too fussed as I’m currently working on a leaner, meaner replacement (more on that later).
Anyway, when I popped over to [...]
- 16 Jan → Falbum 0.6.0 is out now with a few fixes and significant changes. The biggest of which is the change to all the code being in a class - which means you will need to include Falbum on your front page and initialise a new instance in order to get recent and random images working on non-album pages. When I’ve got more time, I’ll write up an implementation guide. Update: I won’t be migrating to 0.6.0 just yet due to one major bug, the privacy options don’t work, so anyone can view images marked as private. Update: Found and logged the bug that was causing privacy to not work. ( 1 )
- 20 Nov → Things have been busy busy busy on the Falbum front. 0.5.6 has just been released to iron out a .htaccess problem and it now uses Flickr’s new URL structure. ( 4 )
- 18 Nov → Well, after stumbling across two bugs yesterday, one of which was quite major, I helped out a couple of people on the forums lastnight to resolve these and fed back the changes. Falbum 0.5.5 is now out to resolve those issues. ( 0 )
- 17 Nov → Two bugs in Falbum 0.5.4 have come to light very quickly. I’ve fed details and fixes back. ( 1 )
Falbum 0.5.4 is Out Now
Falbum 0.5.4 is out now, and it’s got all my recent changes. Go grab it now and update. It fixes a lot of problems with 0.5.3, integrates with K2 better and now reports more meaningful errors if things go wrong.
Word of warning to all people upgrading from previous versions…. to make the upgrade go [...]
- 15 Nov → I haven’t heard officially from Eli yet, but from the look of things he’s busy testing my Falbum changes on his site, so hopefully an updated version of Falbum will be out soon. ( 0 )
More Falbum Updates
For some reason Falbum 0.5.3 was quite buggy, so I didn’t actually update, I just updated my 0.5.2 installation to use the libcurl change I submitted and left it as is.
Over the past few weeks I’ve been furiously hacking the 0.5.3 code to try and fix the problems people are encountering and add some enhancements [...]
What the Flock
For the past few months there has been a lot of hype about a new “social browser” coming onto the scenes. This is Flock and it’s based on Firefox. I’m a big fan of Firefox and like to be on the cutting edge and test all the beta releases, so I signed up [...]
Our Flat on Google Maps
Google have introduced quite a cool feature called Google Maps (US / UK). You can basically enter an address, postcode or a whole bunch of other things and you’ll get a map of the location. You can then get Google to give you directions etc. At the moment this only covers the [...]
