  • → I can’t believe it, Zimbabwe beat Australia in their T20 WC cricket game last night by 5 wickets. This defeat leaves Australia in a bit of a pickle if they plan on getting through to the Super 8s: they have to beat England now. ( 0 )
  • → Well, it looks like an Australia - Sri Lanka World Cup final. The SA - Oz semi is 30 overs in and South Africa have been true to form and suffered another one of their characteristic semi-final breakdowns: 103-8. Why does South Africa always come undone in the semi’s? ( 0 )
  • → I’ve just checked the cricket score for today’s game between SA and England, and quite fittingly, KP has just been caught by Graeme Smith for 3. He won’t be too please about that (the score or who caught him). Prior to his dismissal, there were 13 South African’s (by birth) on the field and 0 Englishmen - KP & Strauss at the crease, the 11 SA fielders and neither of the umps are English either. Watch out, we’re slowly taking over the world. ( 0 )

  • → Yesterday was a great day for two of the minnows in the World Cup. Ireland have sent Pakistan home by beating them in Ireland’s first world cup victory, and once again Bangladesh have proven they shouldn’t be forgotten by beating India. ( 0 )

Google Loves Cricket

Today’s Google (UK) logo:

Whilst factually incorrect - the players wear bright colours and use a white ball during the World Cup - it is nice to see Google loves cricket too.

Let the Games Begin

19:00 GMT marks the start of the ICC World Cup Cricket 2007. Woohooo!!! Come on South Africa, oh and England (my second team - they have to be really, as I do use this country for my own benefit). How do you think your team will do? If you’re not sure, or don’t know [...]
