  • → It’s quite appropriate that I’ve just spent the afternoon on Remembrance Sunday removing shot from the rabbits we’re having for dinner. ( 1 )
  • → I’ve nearly had a heart attack. I’ve just learnt that the Bank of England have slashed 1.5% off the UK interest rates bringing them down to 3% - the lowest since 1955. Crap for your savings, but brilliant if you’ve got a tracker mortgage like Claire and me. ( 0 )
  • → I can declare winter 2008 officially started today for me. I had to scrape ice off my windscreen this morning for the first time this winter, and boy was it a tad chilly doing so. ( 1 )
  • → I quite enjoyed filling up with petrol today. I got to watch the litres of petrol enter my tank quicker than the Pounds left my wallet thanks to the lovely 97.9p a litre being charged by the Morrisons and Asda petrol stations in my area (petrolprices.com told me) ( 0 )
  • → I’ve just check the BT website and apparently our phone line has now been fixed. Woohoo!!! We can now get calls and use the tinternet at home again. Pity it took them 3 days to even bother looking into the problem :-( ( 0 )
  • → The government has outlined it’s new rules for migrant workers coming to the UK from outside the EU and has drawn up a list of “shortage occupations“. What amazes me is we have a shortage of “ship and hovercraft officers”. Erm, I think we may have a problem Houston - the last time I saw a hovercraft in the UK was on Top Gear several years ago :-) ( 0 )
  • → Oh my word, the South Africans have just been given a complete pasting by England in the 2nd One Day International at Trent Bridge. SA were all out for 83 in 23 overs and England replied with 85 for 0 in 14.1 overs. I don’t think I want to watch the highlights tonight; it’ll just be embarrassing. ( 0 )
  • → Thanks to new European law, Winnie the Pooh is going to need a re-write. He’s not allowed to live in the Hundred Acre Wood anymore. Instead he has to live in the 40.4685642 Hectare Wood. ( 0 )
